What’s better than beer and bike stands? Unfortunately, I can’t share the beer through YouTube, but you can benefit from this quick walk-through of the five bike stands that made it to my backyard comparison.

Is it acceptable/safe to store your bike on the stand when not using it? I’m planning to keep my new bike inside the house and not the garage. Approval from the wife might be easier if said bike doesn’t sit on the floors.
There’s a diversity of opinion on this one. IMO for a metal bike, it’s fine. For a carbon bike, I wouldn’t do it because the tubes aren’t designed to take the torsional loads on the seat tube or top tube. It is fine to hang either bike on a rack designed for that purpose, you just want to make sure that the majority of the hanging happens where the top & seat tub meet (like in the photo).
