Lots of good stuff to be had from the $600 “Standard” and $750 Solar Edge 1040, with the main different between the two being a solar panel (duh) and the amount of device storage. DC Rainmaker saw some fairly impressive charging numbers from the solar, so my gut says if you have $600 to blow on this big guy, and you like not charging your bike computer from the grid, the $150 is well worth it. Lots of other good stuff in the video, and I LOVE that Garmin has finally acknowledged the existence of USB-C. Is either of these enough to get me off my Edge 530? No, not really… But the stamina feature might be.
