Of course it was really just a matter of time, but that time appears to be “soon” as the Garmin fēnix 7 / 7S / 7X are up on the FCC test site. Rumor has it that they were supposed to launch last spring/summer, but Garmin held back because of the global supply chain and logistics issues. It will be interesting to see what they offer over the fēnix 6, which I’ve been really happy with despite some imperfections. It will suck if the only reason to upgrade is to keep getting awesome firmware updates.
It seems that FCC ID A04112 is the Fenix 7X. In one of the submitted documents (R20210128-20-E10A DSS1) the product name is mentioned as the Garmin Fenix 7X.
Making it likely that FCC ID’s A04111 and A04110 are the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7S.
