Last year’s Turkey Burner was a highlight last year. The course was awesome, the organizer was awesome, and it was just all around feel good event. I signed up for the 2022 race, on Saturday, November 5th, a while back but forgot to get this post up pointing that out. It should be fun, and the winner takes home a frozen turkey, and last year they got some malt liquor too :). Best part is that because it’s in in Leclaire, IA and starts at 10AM, it’s an easy drive out from Chicago morning of, so it’s a much easier sell to the family.
We’re back! This will be the second year for the Turkey Burner! Who wants to bring home the Thanksgiving Turkey? Come finish out your cycling season at the 2022 Turkey Burner. This year the event will take place from downtown LeClaire, IA.
This race/ride takes place on some of the best gravel roads in Eastern Iowa and will be sure to test your fitness, regardless of what distance you choose to tackle. After the event, expect a party and experience the uniqueness of downtown LeClaire!
